About this opportunity
The Borough of Elizabethtown is seeking sealed bids for the 2025 Sanitary Sewer Improvements Project (Contract No. 2025-01), a municipal infrastructure enhancement initiative. The project involves comprehensive sanitary sewer system upgrades, including approximately 409 linear feet of 8-inch sanitary sewer main, one spot repair, and approximately 152 linear feet of 4-inch and 6-inch sanitary sewer laterals. Two alternates are included: Alternate No. 1 features a 4-foot diameter sanitary sewer manhole replacement, while Alternate No. 2 encompasses an additional 110 linear feet of 8-inch sanitary sewer main and 24 linear feet of 6-inch laterals. Bidding documents are exclusively available through PennBid (https://pennbid.bonfirehub.com/), with all official notifications and addenda posted on this platform. A mandatory pre-bid conference is scheduled for Wednesday, September 3, 2025, at 10:00 AM at the Elizabethtown Borough Building, and sealed bids will be publicly opened on Monday, September 15, 2025, at 10:00 AM local time.
No specific set-aside designations or restrictions for disadvantaged enterprises were explicitly mentioned in the contract opportunity. The project requires comprehensive construction capabilities, including materials, equipment, labor, and technical expertise in municipal sewer infrastructure improvements. Bidders will need to demonstrate professional competence in municipal infrastructure construction, with specific capabilities in sewer main replacement, lateral installation, and manhole rehabilitation. While no specific budget range was provided, the project's scope suggests a substantial municipal infrastructure investment. Interested contractors must carefully review the comprehensive documentation, including the seven attached zip files containing detailed divisional specifications and the project plan set, which total approximately 16 megabytes of technical documentation. Potential bidders should thoroughly examine the technical specifications and be prepared to meet the complex infrastructure improvement requirements outlined in the contract documents.
