TO: Negotiation File Dry Cleaning Depot Facility ID No. 06-9502029; ERIC_4160 Fort Lauderdale, Broward County FROM: Theresa Pepe, Project Manager SUBJECT: Task Assignment DC014H (HW680) DATE: January 30, 2026
Arcadis U.S., Inc. will conduct annual groundwater monitoring from select wells at the site. Additionally, select wells will be sampled for PFAS compounds. This work will be conducted in accordance with the January 22, 2026, Work Plan submitted by Doug McGlone of Arcadis.
The final task assignment total is $15,572.59. Arcadis may invoice according to the attached schedule.
Specific negotiated subtasks are as follows:
Subtask 1: Project Management This subtask is calculated automatically based on a percentage of total labor hours.
Subtask 2: Annual Groundwater Monitoring An access agreement with the current real property owner was signed in October 2015.
No changes in property ownership have occurred since that date.
This subtask provides costs to sample 20 monitor wells for drycleaning solvents (a reduction of 7 wells from the previous sampling event). The number of wells sampled is necessary for determining if a groundwater remedial action is required. Water levels will be measured to determine the direction of groundwater flow. IDW will be drummed and disposed by a licensed waste hauler.
Subtask 3: Reporting Arcadis will submit a written report as the final deliverable including recommendations for additional actions as needed. Total hours were reduced from 42 to 36.
Dry Cleaning Depot (ERIC_4160)
Subtask 4: PFAS sampling
Arcadis will sample three monitor wells for PFAS compounds using FDEP’s laboratory in Tallahassee. The wells have been chosen based on prior PFAS results and FDEP’s guidance/flow chart.
Hours and costs are comparable to past task assignments of similar scope.
