Proposed Scope of Work Former Brantley Cleaners Task Assignment DC(TBD)-A ERIC_5454 (Former Facility ID No. 599500158) Aptim Environmental & Infrastructure, LLC (APTIM) August 16, 2022

The former Brantley Cleaners facility, located in Altamonte Springs, has an installed SVE/AAI remedial system that was turned off because the drycleaning facility continued to use a solvent based cleaning process. The facility recently switched to a petroleum-based cleaning process and APTIM completed a scope of work that included a limited collection of vapor and groundwater samples to evaluate the necessity of reactivating the remedial system. However, during completion of the aforementioned scope of work the remedial trailer was inspected and found to require significant repairs to the trailer. Since the remedial system is over 15 years old this Task Assignment provides for evaluating the cost effectiveness of repairing the remedial system or scrapping the unit.

The following explains the scope of work included in the Task Assignment (TA):

1. Subtask 2 – Equipment Evaluation

This task includes the costs for labor, travel, subcontractor, and other incidentals required to inspect the remedial system trailer, operate the compressor and vacuum blowers, test the interlock operation of both systems and operate the telecommunication system. Upon completion of the field work the subcontractor (ESD Waste to Water) will provide a cost estimate to repair/replace components necessary to retore proper operation of the system.

APTIM will submit the subcontractor’s cost estimate to FDEP and conduct a conference call to discuss the most cost-effective path forward with regard to the remedial system.

The proposed scope of work requires one day to complete, while the subcontractor will require two weeks to develop a repair estimate. APTIM suggests a deliverable product consisting of an email with the subcontractors estimate on or before October 14, 2022, and a TA completion date of December 16, 2022.

APTIM proposes to perform this scope of work in accordance with the terms and conditions of the contract executed between APTIM Environmental & Infrastructure, LLC and Florida Department of Environmental Protection No. HW689 signed December 21, 2021. APTIM will begin the proposed scope of work upon written authorization.
