BASIS FOR SCOPE OF SERVICES
This Scope of Services are based on the comments by Breck Dalton, P.G. dated November 2, 2021 on the Site Assessment Report Revision 1, prepared by Tetra Tech, dated August 18, 2021. In an email dated April 29, 2022, it was confirmed that the petroleum drycleaning machine was operational prior to the site acceptance into the program, and as such, petroleum parameters would be included in the soil and groundwater samples collected.
Laboratory analysis includes those petroleum parameters referenced in Chapter 62-780, Table B (except no reporting of carcinogenic PAHs or cumene).
Since confirmation soil samples were not collected for analysis by a fixed laboratory, additional samples are recommended for VOHs and the parameters listed in Chapter 62-780, Table B. Terracon recommends the collection of soils within the vicinity of the dryclean machine(s) (MAGS-003), and near the backdoor (MAGS-005). Three additional borings will be performed in the vicinity of the former storage shed in the southeast corner of the asphalt area. It was decided not to recommend MAGS in the southeast area of investigation since the surface was not impermeable (i.e. no asphalt cover or near asphalt edge).
Prior to installation of additional groundwater monitoring wells to complete the site assessment, it was specifically requested to resample and confirm the groundwater results.
DELIVERABLES
The Supplemental Site Assessment Report (SSA) will detail and summarize the soil and groundwater sampling activities, field observations, and results of soil and groundwater analysis. The SSA will include updates to the site’s historical data tables and exhibits of groundwater flow and soil and groundwater concentrations. Conclusions and
