About this file

This document is a Task Assignment (TA) under Contract HW687, issued by the State of Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP) to Terracon Consultants, Inc. The TA DC003C authorizes environmental investigation services at the Vicks Cleaners facility (ERIC_4650) located at 8645 Pensacola Boulevard, Pensacola, Escambia County, Florida. The Department's project manager is Nicole Knutson, and the contractor's project manager is Donna Cline. The work is performed under the FDEP's Waste Cleanup Program indefinite delivery contract with Terracon, a remediation consulting firm based in Kansas with a Tallahassee, Florida office.

Terracon will conduct soil and groundwater sampling and prepare a Supplemental Site Assessment Report summarizing activities and results. The scope includes advancing seven soil borings (two interior using hand augering and core drilling, five exterior using direct push technology), collecting 38 soil samples at various depths, measuring depth to groundwater in six monitoring wells, and collecting one groundwater sample from well MW039R for volatile organic compound analysis. Subcontractors Walker-Hill will perform drilling services ($2,395.00), and Erwin Remediation will handle industrial waste disposal for soil ($110.00) and water ($125.00) drums. Laboratory analytical costs total $3,333.00. The Total TA Value is $16,955.04 on a fixed unit rate basis, with two deliverables: field notes due December 6, 2024 ($12,128.14 upon FDEP approval), and the Supplemental Site Assessment Report due January 31, 2025 ($4,826.90 upon FDEP approval). The TA completion date is March 28, 2025.
