Proposed Scope of Work Commerce Dry Cleaners Post Active Remediation Monitoring (Quarterly) Task Assignment DC TBD-A ERIC_5196, Former FAC ID #509600257 APTIM Environmental & Infrastructure, LLC 7/07/2022
Based on the recent groundwater monitoring analytical results for the Commerce Cleaners site additional groundwater sampling was requested in the project review meeting on April 28, 2022.
Post active rehabilitation monitoring (PARM) was in the final quarter of groundwater monitoring when VOHs were reported in numerous wells, which had not been previously reported.
This Task Assignment has been prepared for the collection of groundwater samples from all twelve (12) wells located at the Commerce Cleaners. The wells will be sampled by the micro purge technique utilizing a peristaltic pump and a field-calibrated YSI multi-parameter instrument with a flow-through cell. The samples will be analyzed for the presence of VOHs by EPA Method 8260. Prior to groundwater sample collection, depth to water measurements will be collected from all the wells that can be accessed.
In addition, as requested in the project meeting, the location of the northern property boundary will be surveyed and marked for the Commerce Cleaners property. SurvTech Solutions was contacted to provide a quote to survey, locate, and mark the northern boundary of the property to determine if the northern most wells (which were not installed by APTIM) are located on the Commerce property, or are offsite. If the wells are located offsite, and the proposed groundwater sampling confirm the results, offsite noticing may be required for the adjacent property.
Purge water will be placed into a drum following each sampling event for storage onsite and future pickup and disposal. Erwin Remediation has been selected to provide IDW transportation and disposal, based on bids included with the previous Task Assignment and attached for reference. The IDW characterization sample will be analyzed for the presence of VOHs by EPA Method 8260, as requested by the disposal subcontractor.
A Groundwater Sampling Report will be provided summarizing the groundwater measurements and analytical results in tables, figures and text including conclusions and recommendations.
APTIM recommends the following schedule:
Description Due Date
Groundwater Sampling Report 7/29/2022
Database and ADaPT Files 7/29/2022
Task Expiration Date 9/30/2022
APTIM proposes to perform this scope of work in accordance with the terms and conditions of the contract executed between APTIM Environmental & Infrastructure, LLC and Florida Department of Environmental Protection No. HW689 signed December 21, 2021. APTIM will begin the proposed scope of work upon written authorization.
If you have any questions, please contact the APTIM team for clarification.
