Task Assignment #DC007A Monitoring May 25,2022

Under this task assignment, APTIM will commence additional groundwater sampling.

Work will be done according to the attached scope of work dated May 2, 2022.

Subtask 1: Project Management Under this subtask is a percentage of the overall project and has been negotiated as a contract rate.

Subtask 2: Annual Groundwater Reporting and PDB Installation Documentation Under this subtask APTIM will complete the installation of replacement passive diffusion bag (PDB)samplers into the eight wells that contain PDBs and monitoring well MW-11. The PDBs will be obtained from ALS environmental, a licensed manufacturer of passive diffusion samplers. Since the well is 145 ft deep the harness assembly was $127, as opposed to the $30-40 cost. The PDB harness cost can change with the depth as they are made for a specific well.

APTIM is requesting reimbursement on the harness in addition to the PDB for MW-11. APTIM will submit an Annual Ground Water Monitoring Report and PDB Installation documentation.

This subtask allows for preparation of noticing documents, maps and completion of the associated forms, checklists and tables based on the inferred off-site contamination reported in and based on the analytical results.

Documentation of the costs is included in the attached CEF, Level-of-Effort sheets, and the APTM proposal. The final deliverable due date is June 26,2022 , and the completion date for the Task Assignment is October 28, 2022. The final cost total for DC007A is $ 9,144.02

Hello Jonathan:

I need an estimate to include in a proposal to pick‐up and dispose of non‐hazardous liquid which will be generated during upcoming groundwater sampling activities at the following site:

Here are the site specifics:

Proposed Scope of Work Gators One Hour Cleaners Annual Sampling Task Assignment HW689 DC(TBD) A ERIC_4908, (Former Facility ID #429500902) Aptim Environmental & Infrastructure, LLC 5/2/22

The following proposed scope of work for Task Assignment DC(TBD) A is for the collection and sampling of eight passive diffusion bag (PDB) samplers and the collection of a conventional groundwater sample from deep well MW011. The proposed scope of work was developed based on the FDEP approved recommendations from the most recent Annual Groundwater Sampling Report for the Gators One Hour Cleaners, dated April 1, 2021.

The proposed scope of work includes the collection of depth-to-groundwater measurements from the existing 24 monitor wells (MW001 through MW024). Samples will be collected from the PDB’s harvested from monitoring wells MW001, MW005, MW010, MW012, MW013, MW016, MW021 and MW022. These bags were deployed on February 23, 2021. The water samples from the eight existing PDB’s will be submitted for analysis by EPA Method 8260 for volatile organic halocarbons (VOHs).

A groundwater sample will also be collected from deep well MW011 by the micro purge technique utilizing a peristaltic pump and a field-calibrated YSI multi-parameter instrument with a flow-through cell.

Historically, the depth to groundwater in this well has allowed for the collection of groundwater samples utilizing a peristaltic pump (24 to 25 ft bls). After conventionally sampling deep well MW011, a specially ordered PDB harness and hanging assembly will be deployed, along with a PDB into the 147 ft deep well.

Deployment of a harness and PDB will allow the well to be sampled without purging during future sampling events. The estimated cost to build the specialty harness assembly for this deep well has been provided by ALS (Attached) will be sole-sourced due to limited vendors that provide this service.

This scope of work includes installation of replacement passive diffusion bag (PDB) samplers into the eight wells that contain PDBs and monitoring well MW011. The PDBs will be obtained from ALS Environmental, a licensed manufacturer of passive diffusion samplers. The selected PDB samplers for 2” diameter monitoring wells MW001, MW011 MW012, MW013, MW016, MW021 and MW022 are 24” long, 1 ¼” in diameter and are manufactured from 4 Mil-thick, low-density polyethylene. For the 1” diameter monitoring wells MW005, the selected PDB samplers will be 48” long and ¾” in diameter. The ¾ inch diameter PDB sampler deployed into 1-inch diameter monitoring well MW010 will be 36 inches long to ensure full submersion of the PDB due to the shallow depth of this well. The samplers will be ordered pre-filled with certified, laboratory-grade, analyte-free, deionized water. The nine PDBs will be deployed to the following depths:

1. MW001, (2” well) total depth of approx. 31 ft bls (placement from 29 to 31 ft bls),

2. MW005, (1” well) total depth of approx. 31.5 ft bls (placement from 27.5 to 31.5 ft bls),

3. MW010, (1” well) total depth of approx. 28 ft bls (placement from 25 to 28 ft bls),

4. MW012, (2” well) total depth of approx. 99 ft bls (placement from 97 to 99 ft bls),

5. MW013, (2” well) total depth of approx. 62 ft bls (placement from 60 to 62 ft bls),

6. MW016, (2” well) total depth of approx. 56.5 ft bls (placement from 54.5 to 56.5 ft bls),

7. MW021, (2” well) total depth of approx. 61 ft bls (placement from 59 to 61 ft bls),

8. MW022, (2” well) total depth of approx. 60 ft bls (placement from 54 to 56 ft bls).

9. MW011, (2” well) total depth of approx. 147 ft bls (placement from 141 to 143 ft bls).

The purge water and decontamination fluids from the sampling event will be placed into a drum for storage onsite and future pickup and disposal. Erwin Remediation was selected to provide IDW transportation and disposal, based on bids procured recently at the Johnson’s Cleaners facility (attached), which is located nearby in Leesburg, Florida. An IDW sample will be analyzed by EPA Method 8260 for VOHs (only) to characterize the waste.

An Annual Sampling Report will be provided summarizing the collected groundwater measurements and analytical results in tables, figures and text.
