COST PROPOSAL FOR TASK DC027C

<Michael the Cleaner/FDEP ERIC_4899>

< Supplemental Site Assessment>

1. INTRODUCTION: <DISCUSS SCOPE OF WORK, DATES >

GHD Services Inc. (GHD) submitted a Site Assessment Report for the Michael the Cleaners site located in Bradenton, Manatee County, in August 2023. The Site Assessment Report summarized the results of soil, soil gas, and groundwater analytical results. Based on these results, additional assessment was recommended. Task DC027C includes additional soil sampling, modified active gas sampling (MAGS), and groundwater sampling

Subtask 1: Project Management Subtask 1 includes all tasks associated with project management of the supplemental site assessment activities at the Michael the Cleaner site.

Subtask 2: Soil, soil gas, and groundwater sampling Initially, GHD will coordinate site access with the current property owner. GHD will mobilize to the subject site and advance additional soil borings within the former drycleaner space.

During boirng advancement, soil sampling will be conducted at four (4) locations (see attached sampling plan). Soil borings will be advanced with a stainless steel hand auger and soil samples will be collected from 0-0.5’, 0.5-2.0’, and 2’ intervals until refusal or the water table.

All soil samples will be submitted to a fixed laboratory for analysis for the presence of volatile organics halocarbons (VOHs). Following soil boring advancement, permanent piezometers will be installed at each location. The piezometers will be installed to depths of 2.5 feet bls and will be constructed with 2-inch diameter PVC well screens (0.010-slot) and casing blank.

Modified Active Gas Sampling (MAGS) will then be conducted at each piezometer location.

Soil gas samples will be collected at the end of the testing and will be submitted for volatile organic analysis by Method TO-15.

As part of the additional assessment, groundwater sampling will also be conducted at existing wells. Groundwater sampling will be completed at monitoring wells MW001, MW002, MW003, MW006, MW007, MW009, and MW010. Prior to groundwater sampling, depth to water measurements will be gathered from all available wells. Groundwater sampling will be conducted in accordance with FDEP SOPs. All of the groundwater samples will be submitted to a fixed laboratory for VOH analysis by EPA Method 8260.

Subtask 3: Supplemental Site Assessment Report Upon receipt of analytical data, a Supplemental Site Assessment Report (SSAR) will be prepared. The SAR will include a summary of field methodology, field screening data, and laboratory analytical results. The SSAR will also include conclusions and recommendations.

The recommendations may include the use of active remediation to mitigate identified impacts.

Re: Non-Hazardous Drum Disposal – State of Florida

Mr. Moore:

The price for the transportation and disposal (T&D) of drums of non-hazardous soil and water located in the State of Florida is listed below.

Non-Hazardous Drums:

Description Rate Unit False Mobilization (No drum found) $ 85.00 Per Stop T&D - Non-Haz Soil $ 110.00 Per Drum T&D - Non-Haz Water $ 125.00 Per Drum

The prices listed are all inclusive without any additional fees or charges (fuel surcharge, low volume stop fee etc.) and are valid for all regions in the State of Florida except for the Florida Keys. Pricing for sites located in the Florida Keys will be bid on a case-by-case basis dependent on the volume of drums and the location.

The lab data we require for the disposal of drums of petroleum impacted soils are totals for BTEX and the 4 RCRA metals (arsenic, cadmium, chromium, and lead), with analyses no older than 1 year from the estimated disposal date.

We do not require analyticals for the disposal of Petroleum Contact Water (PCW) as long as it has only been impacted with petroleum - not pesticides, herbicides or dry-cleaning solvents etc.

Please ensure that all drum lids are properly secured and that drums are on a level surface like the surrounding area (i.e., not on a pallet, etc.). A single False Mobilization fee will apply if our driver is not able to locate a drum on site or if we are unable to access the property due to a locked gate, etc.

This quote is valid for 90 days.

Here you go Brian. I do this for a lot of engineering/consulting firms.

Be aware of the low stop less than 6 drums at $50/flat Be aware of the 10% to the total cost for FSC (implemented April 15).
