Monitoring

GHD Services, Inc. (GHD) will conduct standard penetration test borings at the subject site. Specific subtasks are detailed below:

Subtask 1: Project Management Project Management is calculated at 13% of the direct labor.

Subtask 2: Standard Penetration Test Borings In order to obtain subsurface soil information in support of the design for the proposed shoring, the completion of two (2) standard penetration testing (SPT) borings at the site (see locations on site plan). The SPT borings will be advanced using a drill rig equipped with mud rotary technology to depths of 30 feet bls. The SPT borings will be completed in accordance with ASTM 1586. Following completion of the SPT borings a summary of the SPT results will be prepared. The results of the SPT borings will be incorporated into the ISRP to be used for specifying shoring design (sheet pile and dewatering). In order to further evaluate infiltration of treated groundwater, GHD will also conduct a double ring infiltration (DRI) test. The test will be conducted at a constant head within the DRI cylinders. The DRI will conducted at a depth of 2 feet bls. The DRI results will be used to calculate an infiltration rate. Investigation derived waste (IDW) disposal is anticipated and has been accounted for under this subtask. Subcontractors for IDW disposal were chosen on a lowest-cost basis.

Subtask 3: Interim Source Removal Plan Update Following completion of the SPT borings, GHD will update the ISRP in order to incorporate shoring for the deeper excavation area. The shoring will likely include the use of steel sheet piles and either internal or external dewatering. The excavation and backfill volumes will be updated.

GHD and the FDEP confirmed on February 22, 2023, that an Access Agreement with the current real property owner of the aforementioned site has been executed.

This work will be conducted in line with the scope of work included with GHD’s proposal, received February 6, 2023. Documentation of the costs is included in the attached CEF, Level-of-Effort sheets, and proposal letter. The final deliverable due date is April 14, 2023, and the completion date for the task assignment is July 14, 2023.

The final cost total for Task Assignment DC014B is $15,396.85.

COST PROPOSAL FOR TASK DC014B

<Plant City Laundry / FDEP ERIC_4722>

< Standard Penetration Test Borings and Interim Source Removal Plan >

1. INTRODUCTION: <DISCUSS SCOPE OF WORK, DATES >

GHD previous completed preparation of a draft Interim Source Removal Plan (ISRP) that was submitted to the Department and reviewed. Based on discussions with the Department regarding the draft ISRP, additional investigations were recommended to evaluate and incorporate shoring into the proposed excavation plan. Task DC014B includes completing two

(2) standard penetration test (SPT) borings and revising the ISRP to incorporate shoring.

Subtask 1: Project Management Subtask 1 includes all tasks associated with project management of the SPT borings and ISRP update at the former Plant City Laundry site.

Subtask 2: Standard Penetration Test Borings (2 total) In order to obtain subsurface soil information in support of the design for the proposed shoring, the completion of two (2) standard penetration testing (SPT) borings at the site (see locations on site plan).

In order to further evaluate infiltration of treated groundwater, GHD recommends the completion of a double ring infiltration (DRI) test. The test will be conducted an constant head within the DRI cylinders. The DRI will conducted at a depth of 2 feet bls. The DRI results will be used to calculate an infiltration rate.

Subtask 3: ISRP Update Following completion of the SPT borings, GHD will update the ISRP in order to incorporate shoring for the deeper excavation area. The shoring will likely include the use of steel sheet piles and either internal or external dewatering. The excavation and backfill volumes will be updated.
