SUBJECT: Task Assignment Summary
HW684 DC033B
Operations & Maintenance
GHD Services, Inc. (GHD) will conduct twelve months of operations & maintenance (O&M) of the soil vapor extraction (SVE) system staged at the subject site. Specific subtasks are detailed below:
Subtask 1: Project Management Project Management is calculated at 13% of the direct labor.
Subtasks 2: Six Months O&M GHD personnel will conduct six months of O&M activities from March 2023 through August 2023. Monthly site visits will be conducted to verify system operation and record operational data including vacuum, flows, and water levels. In addition, during monthly site visits, operation flow patterns in the subsurface will be adjusted to maximize mass recovery. OVA readings and vapor influent sampling will be conducted quarterly.
Groundwater depth to water measurements will also be gathered at monitor wells MW002, MW008, and MW016 on a monthly basis. At the end of 6 months of operations and upon receipt of soil gas data, GHD will prepare a Remedial Action Status Report (RASR). The RASR will include a summary of system operational details including run time and any troubleshooting. The RASR will also include an evaluation of system operating parameters and soil gas analytical data. Finally, the RASR will include recommendations for additional operations.
Subtask 3: Utilities Estimated utility costs for six months of SVE system operation are $3,600.00 for electricity. Costs for utility bill handling are $120.00 ($20.00 per month).
Subtask 4: Six Months O&M Subtask 4 includes O&M activities from September 2023 through February 2024. During subtask 4, monthly site visits will be conducted to verify system operation and record operational data including vacuum, flows, and water levels. In addition, during monthly site visits, operation flow patterns in the subsurface will be adjusted to maximize mass recovery. OVA readings and vapor influent sampling will be conducted quarterly.
Groundwater depth to water measurements will also be gathered at monitor wells MW001 and MW006 on a monthly basis. In October 2023, GHD will conduct annual groundwater sampling in accordance with the approved ISRP. Prior to sampling, depth to water measurements will be gathered from all available wells (16 total). Groundwater sampling will be conducted at monitor wells MW001, MW002, MW004, MW005, MW008, MW010, MW011, and MW016 in accordance with FDEP SOPs. Groundwater samples will be analyzed for the presence of volatile organic halocarbons by EPA Method 8260.
At the end of 12 months of operations GHD will prepare a RASR. The RASR will include a summary of operational data and groundwater sampling and results. The RASR will include a discussion of operational performance and recommendations for additional monitoring/remediation.
Subtask 5: Utilities Estimated utility costs for six months of SVE system operation are $3,600.00 for electricity. Costs for utility bill handling are $120.00 ($20.00 per month).
GHD and the FDEP confirmed on February 20, 2023, that an Access Agreement with the current real property owner of the aforementioned site has been executed.
Documentation of the costs is included in the attached CEF, Level-of-Effort sheets, and the GHD proposal. The final deliverable due date is March 29, 2024, and the completion date for the task assignment is July 28, 2024.
The final cost total for Task Assignment DC033B is $28,444.70.

COST PROPOSAL FOR TASK DC033B
<Dixie Cleaners, ERIC_4590>
< SVE Startup >
1. INTRODUCTION: <DISCUSS SCOPE OF WORK, DATES >
GHD Services Inc. (GHD) prepared an Interim Source Removal Plan (ISRP) that was recently approved by the FDEP and the system was installed. The system was activated in early October 2022. Task DC033B includes labor and expenses for twelve (12) months of O&M of the SVE system in accordance with the approved ISRP.
Subtask 1: Project Management Subtask 1 includes all activities associated with management of the SVE O&M.
Subtask 2 O&M (6 months) As part of subtask 2, monthly site visits will be conducted to verify system operation and record operational data including vacuum, flows, and water levels.
Subtask 3: Utilities (6 months) March 2023 through August 2023 Subtask 3 includes utility reimbursement charges ($600/month) for electrical service for 6 months.
Subtask 4 O&M (6 months) As part of subtask 4, monthly site visits will be conducted to verify system operation and record operational data including vacuum, flows, and water levels.
Subtask 5: Utilities (6 months) September 2023 through February 2024 Subtask 3 includes utility reimbursement charges ($600/month) for electrical service for 6 months.
