COST PROPOSAL FOR TASK DC007C

<Palm Cleaners/FDEP ERIC_5433>

< Groundwater Monitoring >

1. INTRODUCTION: <DISCUSS SCOPE OF WORK, DATES >

GHD Services Inc. (GHD) submitted a Supplemental Site Assessment Report (SSAR) for the former Palm Cleaners site located in Venice, Sarasota County, in September 2020. The SSAR detailed additional assessment activities that included well installation and sampling. The results of the assessment identified elevated levels of drycleaning compounds in groundwater beneath the site. The impacts extend offsite to the north and northwest and were noted at depths up to 80 ft bls. Groundwater sampling was last completed in October 2023 and a Groundwater Monitoring Report was submitted in December 2023, which recommended continued groundwater monitoring. Task DC007C includes groundwater monitoring as recommended by GHD and approved by FDEP in correspondence dated April 2, 2024.

Subtask 1: Project Management Subtask 1 includes all tasks associated with project management of the groundwater monitoring activities at the former Palm Cleaners site.

Subtask 2: Groundwater Sampling

Groundwater sampling is proposed at thirty two (32) monitor wells including shallow well MW004;

shallow-intermediate wells MW022 and MW028;

intermediate wells MW003, MW005, MW007, MW009, MW010, MW011, MW012, MW013, MW016, MW018, MW023, MW025, MW026 and MW043 intermediate deep wells MW014, MW015, MW017, MW020, MW030, MW032, MW033, MW035, MW036, MW040, MW041, MW042, MW044, and MW045; and deep well MW034.

Prior to groundwater sampling, depth to water measurements will be gathered from all available monitor wells (45 total). Groundwater sampling will be conducted in accordance with FDEP SOPs. All groundwater samples will be submitted to a certified laboratory for volatile organic halocarbon (VOH) analysis using EPA Method 8260.

Upon receipt of analytical data, a Groundwater Monitoring Report (GMR) will be prepared.

The GMR will include a summary of field methodology and laboratory analytical results. The GMR will also include conclusions and recommendations. The recommendations may include the use of active remediation to mitigate identified impacts.

Subtask 3: PFAS Sampling

As part of Task DC007C, PFAS testing will also be conducted. Previous screening identified elevated levels of PFAS at multiple wells and private wells are located in the area of the site.

PFAS testing will be conducted at the following wells

Shallow wells MW004, MW006, MW008 Shallow-Intermediate wells MW022, MW027, MW028, MW029 Intermediate wells MW005, MW007, MW010, MW026 Intermediate-deep wells MW015, MW036 Deep well MW034

Groundwater sampling will be conducted in accordance with FDEP and GHD SOPs for PFAS sampling. Monitoring wells MW004, 5, 7, 10, 15, 22, 26, 28, 34, and 36 will be sampled as part of subtask 2 above.

Upon receipt of analytical data, the PFAS results will be incorporated into the Groundwater Monitoring Report prepared under subtask 2.

Craig, Is it possible to provide a generic quote for IDW water disposal.

Assumption is non-haz with necessary analytical Maybe provide a range of locations

South florida or central florida, or both?

Thanks in advance

We have many sites that we generate 1 gw drum of IDW and would like to streamline the vendor coordination
