About this file
This is a capacity narrative document for the Arizona Department of Transportation's (ADOT) On-Call Pipelining and Drainage Repair Services procurement (BPM005628). The document outlines Granite's approach to ordering and maintaining materials, specifically metal pipes and high-density polyethylene, which are the primary materials required for pipelining and drainage repair work under this on-call contract.
Granite's material procurement strategy emphasizes competitive pricing and material availability through its national purchasing agreements with manufacturers and suppliers. The company will coordinate all material procurement through its Arizona Purchasing Manager upon task order award and will follow LEAN Construction principles with just-in-time delivery whenever feasible. Rather than maintaining speculative inventory, Granite will order materials and issue subcontracts specific to each task order's scope of work. The company will retain cut-off pipe pieces exceeding six feet for incorporation into future task orders, thereby reducing material requirements and costs for subsequent projects.

CAPACITY
ADOT Procurement - On-Call Pipelining and Drainage Repair Services (BPM005628)
In a brief one-page narrative, describe your company's approach to ordering and maintaining materials (metal pipes and High density polyethylene). At minimum, describe your company's ordering process, and describe some products that your company keeps in stock for possible projects.
Procurement Granite has a national team that maintains purchasing agreements with manufacturers and suppliers that enable competitive pricing and material availability. Danny will work with our Arizona Purchasing Manager for all material procurement. Granite’s approach to material procurement is consistent with LEAN Construction principles and just in time delivery when possible. Upon award of a task order, Granite will order all materials and issue subcontracts as required for the scope of work.
Due to the variability in material requirements for this project we will not maintain inventory of items that do not have an approved task order. We will maintain all cut off pieces of pipe over six feet that can be incorporated into future task orders reducing the material needs for subsequent work.
