About this file
This is a Method of Approach document for the Arizona Department of Transportation's On-Call Pipelining and Drainage Repair Services contract (BPM005628). The document outlines the bidder's proposed operational strategy for executing work in remote areas. Prior to pricing each task order, the Project Manager will conduct an onsite meeting with the district representative to identify specific schedule requirements for each location. The bidder indicates flexibility in work schedules, with a standard approach of four days per week at ten hours per day for remote locations, scalable to six days per week at ten hours per day if expedited schedules are required. The company also indicates capability to staff projects with multiple crews and management personnel to support around-the-clock operations when necessary to meet project deadlines.
Upon arrival at project sites, the bidder's crews will conduct safety meetings to review job hazard analysis and work plans before commencing operations. Standard mobilization time allows crews to begin work within fifteen minutes of arriving onsite, with the exception of major operations on the first day at a new location, which may require up to one hour for site walks and hazard identification. This approach demonstrates the bidder's commitment to safety protocols and operational readiness while maintaining flexibility to accommodate varying project demands across the state's remote work areas.

METHOD OF APPROACH
ADOT Procurement - On-Call Pipelining and Drainage Repair Services (BPM005628)
Provide your company’s method of approach for working in remote areas. At a minimum include the number of hours per day your company would be working and how soon your company would arrive on site before work is to commence.
Remote Work Areas:
Prior to providing a price for a task order Danny Hoback, Project Manager, will meet onsite with the district representative. During this site visit he will identify the schedule requirements for each location. Generally, in remote locations for this type of work we will work 4 days per week, 10 hours per day. However, if the situation warrants an expedited work schedule, our crews are accustomed to working up to 6 days per week 10 hours per day. We are also able to staff projects around the clock with multiple crews and management personnel to meet the desired schedule. Once onsite our crews will conduct a safety meeting to review the job hazard analysis and work plan for the operation. In most cases the crews will commence work within 15 minutes of arriving onsite. On the first day at a new location for a major operation the crew will walk the site and review all potential hazards which may result in up to one hour from the time of arrival until work commences.
