QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

ADOT Procurement - On-Call Pipelining and Drainage Repair Services (BPM005628)

In a brief narrative, describe your company history, experience and expertise in providing the same or similar services as required in the solicitation, to the same or similar customers as the Arizona Department of Transportation.

Company History Granite Construction Company (Granite) was incorporated in 1922 in Watsonville, California, and is recognized as one of the largest diversified heavy civil contractors and construction materials producers in the nation.

With an annual workload of over $3 billion, we routinely build a variety of roadway construction services projects for both public and private sectors, including drainage excavation, storm drainpipe installation and rehabilitation, and all associated ancillary work associated with sour repair, drainage repair and underground pipe installation.

Granite’s Arizona Region, with offices in Tucson and Phoenix, has been providing construction services to Arizona since 1980. The Arizona Region operates as a stand-alone business, supported by the resources of one of the largest and most successful heavy civil contractors in the country. This multidimensional approach enables Granite to have both local knowledge and depth of resources required to meet the project needs in an efficient, cost-effective manner while maintaining status as an industry leader in safety and quality.

Company Experience and Organization Granite has been hydrovacing and lining pipes in the State of Arizona since 2012. Granite has perfected a cost effective and efficient way of quickly identifying, cleaning, lining, and grouting pipe runs. In addition to the pipelining work Granite has been performing drainage services for Pima County and City of Tucson under Job Order Contracts since 2014 and in 2016 began drainage services with ADOT. Granite has worked with local maintenance districts across the state since the 2016 Pipelining Contract, and under the Statewide Concrete Repair Contract. We have held JOC contracts for Pima county flood control for scour and drainage repairs while also completing drainage repairs under various ADOT Pipelining contracts.

Our team is equipped with over 200 pieces of equipment across Arizona along with 360 craft personnel, specifically four underground crews that have all lined pipes within the last 5 years and over 10 grading crews that regularly complete drainage excavation associated work. We work with ADOT districts across Arizona including remote locations as part of our Statewide Emergency Concrete Repair contract. The partnership we have with ADOT allows us to quickly dispatch the necessary team to complete work orders throughout the state. In addition to our resources, we have an extensive network of qualified trade partners that we can augment our forces with to meet project requirements.
