About this file
This is a specification document for portable hoists required for the Skytop Lodge Sewage Treatment Plant Improvements Project in Pennsylvania, a municipal wastewater treatment facility upgrade project. The scope of work requires the provision of one (1) portable Davit crane with a minimum loading rating of 1,000 pounds to be used for the Equalization Tank Pumps and the Recirculation Pump Station Pumps. The hoist must feature an adjustable boom angle with 360-degree rotation constructed of 304 stainless steel, a 40-foot stainless steel cable, a stainless steel swivel hook, and a manual winch. Acceptable manufacturers include Thern, Inc., ProWinch, or equal products. The project bidding deadline is September 18, 2026 at 10:00 AM, with a pre-bid conference scheduled for August 25, 2026 at 10:30 AM at the Skytop Lodge STP facility in Canadensis, Pennsylvania. Bid security of no less than 10% in the form of a certified check or bid bond is required.
The specification requires compliance with multiple ASME standards (B30.5, B30.7, B30.16, HST series standards), ASTM standards for materials, NEMA electrical standards, and OSHA regulations for overhead cranes. Contractors must submit comprehensive product data, manufacturer certifications, assembly instructions, and certified load test results. The equipment must be tested in the presence of the engineer and demonstrated to the owner's personnel, with all limit switches and hoist controls verified for proper operation. Equipment must comply with ASME B30.16 and OSHA 1910.179 standards for installation and testing. The document does not specify pricing terms, set-asides, or contract duration details within its technical specification scope.
