About this file
This is a technical specification document for project coordination procedures applicable to Capital Region Water's 2027 Sewer System Improvements Project, a general construction contract in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. The document establishes requirements for the contractor to coordinate scheduling, submittals, and work across various project sections to ensure efficient and orderly installation of interdependent construction elements. The contractor must hold coordination meetings with personnel and subcontractors, coordinate completion and cleanup of work for separate sections in preparation for substantial completion, and maintain all necessary utility services to the public throughout the project duration. The work involves modifications to and demolition of existing facilities and structures that must be completed in specific sequences due to physical requirements or operational needs.
The contractor bears full responsibility for any damage to existing facilities caused by its operations and must immediately furnish, install, and place into operation alternate equivalent facilities or make necessary repairs to restore damaged facilities to full service at the contractor's expense. The nature, location, capacity, and type of facilities proposed for maintaining continuity of owner operations require approval by the engineer. The document references related sections including construction progress schedules, execution requirements for general installation and field-engineering services, and closeout procedures, all of which must be coordinated throughout the project lifecycle to ensure compliance with contract documents and successful project delivery.
