About this file

This document outlines payment items for a fuel storage complex replacement construction project at the Rhode Island Air National Guard Station in North Kingstown, Rhode Island. The project requires replacing the truck offload and fillstand positions and associated pumping and filtration equipment to comply with UFC 3-460-01 Design: Petroleum Fuel Facilities and DoD Type III Hydrant System Standards. Key work items include constructing a new 600 GPM pumphouse with control room, offload skids, fuel pumps, filter/separator vessels, and truck fillstand equipment. Additional work involves upgrades to the existing refueler parking area, reusing existing storage tanks with the new system, and phasing construction to allow continued operation of the existing system during replacement. Payment will be made for line items such as the fuel storage complex replacement, furnishing and delivering prestressed concrete piles, driving piles, load tests, canopy components, contaminated soil handling, asbestos and lead abatement, and warranty extensions. The estimated value is between $5-10 million. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers New England District will issue the solicitation as a small business set-aside using best value tradeoff procedures.
