About this file
This document is a fuel cost adjustment schedule for a Wisconsin State Agency contract, effective September 2022. The adjustment mechanism applies to state agency contracts within Wisconsin and utilizes the U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA) Weekly Retail Gasoline and Diesel Prices for the Midwest region (PADD 2) as the baseline pricing reference.
The fuel adjustment operates on a tiered system with a base fuel index of $3.104 per gallon established on March 29, 2021. When diesel prices exceed $3.17 per gallon, contractors may add $0.01 per case for each $0.10 increase in fuel costs, with adjustments applied to invoices in the following month. Conversely, when prices fall below $2.34 per gallon, contractors must provide a $0.005 per case credit for each $0.10 decrease. The document tracks historical fuel prices and corresponding per-case adjustments from June 2021 through August 2022, with prices ranging from $3.17 to $5.78 per gallon and per-case fees escalating from $0.01 to $0.27. The adjustment schedule extends through potential fuel costs up to $5.97 per gallon with a maximum per-case fee of $0.28, ensuring contract pricing remains responsive to volatile fuel market conditions.
