About this file
This document is a fuel cost adjustment schedule for a Wisconsin State Agency contract, dated November 2021. The adjustment mechanism applies to Wisconsin state agencies and is based on the U.S. Energy Information Administration's weekly retail gasoline and diesel prices for the Midwest region (PADD 2), with a base fuel index established at $3.104 per gallon as of March 29, 2021.
The fuel adjustment operates on a tiered pricing structure that adjusts contract costs based on diesel fuel price fluctuations. When the average diesel price exceeds $3.17 per gallon, a $0.01 per case fee is added for each $0.10 increase above the threshold, with adjustments applied to invoices the following month. Conversely, when prices fall below $2.34 per gallon, a $0.005 per case credit is applied for each $0.10 decrease below that threshold. The document shows historical pricing data from June through November 2021, with diesel prices ranging from $3.231 to $3.615 per gallon, resulting in per-case fees between $0.01 and $0.05. The adjustment schedule includes detailed fee and credit tables extending from $1.24 to $3.97 per gallon, with corresponding per-case adjustments ranging from credits of $0.055 to fees of $0.08.
