About this file
This document is a fuel cost adjustment schedule for a Wisconsin State Agency contract, effective September 2021. The adjustment mechanism applies to state agency contracts within Wisconsin and is tied to diesel fuel price fluctuations as measured by the U.S. Energy Information Administration's Weekly Retail Gasoline and Diesel Prices for the Midwest region (PADD 2).
The fuel adjustment operates on a per-case basis with a baseline diesel price of $3.17 per gallon, established from the March 29, 2021 EIA price of $3.104 per gallon. When diesel prices exceed $3.17 per gallon, a $0.01 per case fee is added for each $0.10 increase, with adjustments applied to invoices in the following month. Conversely, when prices fall below $2.34 per gallon, a $0.005 per case credit is applied for each $0.10 decrease. The schedule shows specific effective dates and corresponding fuel prices, with recorded adjustments including $0.010 per case fees for periods when diesel averaged $3.231-$3.264 per gallon during summer 2021. The adjustment structure includes tiered pricing bands ranging from potential credits of $0.055 per case at the lowest fuel costs to fees of $0.08 per case at the highest projected fuel costs.
