About this file
This document is a Wisconsin State Agency fuel cost adjustment schedule from May 2021 that establishes a fuel surcharge mechanism for deliveries under an existing state contract. The document covers Wisconsin state agencies and their contracted vendors, providing a systematic approach to adjust pricing based on fluctuating diesel fuel costs from October 2018 through May 2021.
The contract establishes a fuel adjustment system where vendors may apply surcharges or credits based on diesel fuel price thresholds. When diesel prices exceed $3.50 per gallon, vendors can add $0.01 per case for each $0.10 increase above that threshold, while prices below $3.00 per gallon trigger credits of $0.005 per case for each $0.10 decrease. The document tracks monthly average diesel prices and corresponding per-case adjustments, showing significant volatility from surcharges in late 2018 to credits throughout 2019 and most of 2020, reflecting fuel price fluctuations. The adjustment schedule demonstrates how state contracts can incorporate variable pricing mechanisms to account for commodity price changes, with mutual agreement required between the state and vendors for implementation.
