About this file
This document is a fuel cost adjustment schedule for a Wisconsin State Agency contract that establishes a mechanism for adjusting pricing based on diesel fuel price fluctuations. The adjustment system is tied to the U.S. Energy Information Administration's Weekly Retail Gasoline and Diesel Prices for the Midwest region (PADD 2), using a base fuel index of $3.104 per gallon established on March 29, 2021.
The contract includes a tiered fuel adjustment system where costs increase by $0.01 per case for every $0.10 increase in diesel fuel prices above $3.17 per gallon, with adjustments applied to invoices in the following month. Conversely, when fuel prices fall below $2.34 per gallon, customers receive a credit of $0.005 per case for every $0.10 decrease below that threshold. The document tracks historical fuel prices and corresponding per-case adjustments from June 2021 through May 2022, showing prices ranging from $3.231 to $5.346 per gallon with per-case fees escalating from $0.01 to $0.22. The adjustment schedule extends up to $5.97 per gallon with a maximum per-case fee of $0.28, providing a comprehensive framework for managing fuel cost volatility in contract pricing.
