About this file
This document is a fuel adjustment pricing mechanism for a Wisconsin State Agency contract, outlining how per case costs will be adjusted based on diesel fuel price fluctuations. The adjustment system uses the U.S. Energy Information Administration's Weekly Retail Gasoline and Diesel Prices for the Midwest region as the pricing benchmark, with a base fuel index established at $3.104 per gallon as of March 29, 2021.
The contract establishes a tiered pricing structure where per case costs increase by $0.01 for every $0.10 increase in diesel fuel prices above $3.17 per gallon, with adjustments applied to invoices in the following month. Conversely, when diesel prices fall below $2.34 per gallon, per case costs are reduced by $0.005 for every $0.10 decrease. The document tracks actual fuel prices and corresponding adjustments from June through November 2021, showing prices ranging from $3.231 to $3.631 per gallon, resulting in per case fees between $0.01 and $0.05. The adjustment schedule includes predetermined fee structures extending up to $3.87 per gallon for increases and down to $1.24 per gallon for reductions, ensuring comprehensive coverage for fuel price volatility.
