Q1) Has all of Technical Information been sent?
A1) The Government has sent out all data to contractors that submitted an NDA.
Q2) We are not able to find Technical Information for below 3 specialized tasks.
(Reference : PWS para. "1.3 Scope of PWS", para. "5.2.1.1 H-53E Specialized Skills")
* H-53 main rotor blade repair
* H-53 sponson repair and overhaul
* H-53 drive shaft balancing
A2) * H-53 main rotor blade repair, A1-H53CE-SRM-000 WP 012 00: Correct TM.
* H-53 sponson repair and overhaul, A1-H53CE-SRM-010 WP 032 00: that's one of many manuals and Local Engineering Specs applicable to the sponsons. A list of applicable refs is in the PMID spec.
* H-53 drive shaft balancing, CAN NOT FIND: Drive shaft balancing is a "Drive Systems Depot Facility" task, not a PMI line task. The closest thing to drive shaft balancing the PMI line would do, is index the drive shaft sections relative to each other so the heavy spot on one shaft would be as close to 180 deg out of the heavy spot on the mating shaft. This is done only if directed by the A1-H53CE-VIB-000, which is already on the list of approved for release refs. Additional drive shafts inspection and minor repair procedures are in CP 68-52-WW-1512, which is approved for release as well.
