Groundwater Monitoring
1. INTRODUCTION: <DISCUSS SCOPE OF WORK, DATES >
GHD operated a Soil Vapor Extraction System at the Dryclean USA site from March 19, 2009, through February 2011. Historically, soil excavation activities were completed along with enhanced bioremediation injections in accordance with an approved RAP Modification, utilizing a slow release substrate EOS, along with other nutrients. Following the initial injection event, periodic groundwater monitoring was conducted to evaluate concentration data over time. Following the annual sampling event in February 2014, an additional injection event was recommended. The additional injections occurred in October 2014. Currently, periodic groundwater monitoring activities are ongoing on an annual basis. The previous monitoring report was submitted in January 2025 and FDEP provide comments in February 2024.
Subtask 1: Project Management Subtask 1 includes all activities associated with completing annual groundwater sampling, analysis, and reporting for the Dryclean USA #11204 site.
Subtask 2: Groundwater Monitoring Task assignment DC006C (Subtask 2) includes annual groundwater sampling and analysis at seven (7) wells including MW001, MW003, MW006, MW009, IW001, IW002, and IW003.
Groundwater analysis will include volatile organic halocarbons (VOHs) at all wells, as well as TOC at monitor well MW001. In addition, ammonia and total dissolved solids (TDS) will be analyzed at MW001 and MW006. This sampling is in accordance with GHD’s recommendations in the January 2025 monitoring report, and DEP approval. During mobilization for sampling, depth to water measurements will be gathered from all available wells. Groundwater sampling will be conducted in general accordance with FDEP SOPs;
however, interior wells IW001, IW002, and IW003 will be sampled following collection of one set of parameters in order to reduce the amount of odor entering the active Pawn Shop facility.
In addition, the well caps will be sealed with epoxy following sampling to reduce odors.
Following groundwater sampling, a summary report will be prepared. The summary report will include a description of field sampling methodology and analytical results. The report will also include recommendations regarding the next step toward site rehabilitation.
Subtask 3: PFAS Groundwater Sampling Task assignment DC006D (Subtask 3) also includes PFAS sampling at site monitoring wells.
Based on PFAS screening results that identified elevated PFAS at 4 wells, GHD recommends sampling all site monitoring wells with PFAS analysis. Therefore, monitoring wells MW001, MW003, MW006, IW001, and IW002 will also be analyzed for PFAS. PFAS sampling will be conducted in accordance with FDEP and GHD PFAS sampling protocols. Samples from all wells (5 total) will be submitted to the FDEP laboratory for PFAS analysis.
Upon receipt of PFAS data, the results will be summarized within the Groundwater Monitoring Report described under Subtask 2.

Craig, Is it possible to provide a generic quote for IDW water disposal.
Assumption is non-haz with necessary analytical Maybe provide a range of locations
South florida or central florida, or both?
Thanks in advance
We have many sites that we generate 1 gw drum of IDW and would like to streamline the vendor coordination
