About this file

This document is a Draft Performance Work Statement (PWS) for DLA Strategic Materials, dated June 2025, outlining logistical support requirements at Hawthorne Army Depot (HWAD). The PWS details comprehensive support services including mercury storage management, environmental compliance, emergency medical response, fire support, safety, security, custodial services, facilities maintenance, equipment management, and audit sustainment. Key responsibilities include maintaining facilities, providing transportation and equipment operations, monitoring intrusion alarms, conducting quarterly facility inspections, and supporting material weighing processes for inventory verification.

The document specifies detailed requirements for handling hazardous materials, particularly mercury and explosives, with strict protocols for receipt, storage, and management. The contractor must comply with multiple regulatory standards, including chemical accident prevention, safety, and environmental protection guidelines. Additional unique requirements include providing Process Control Data Acquisition System (PCDAS) support through a subcontractor, calibrating equipment, managing recycling efforts, and ensuring readiness to transport and package strategic materials within 24 hours if directed by the government. The PWS is part of a broader effort to support DLA Strategic Materials' operations at the Hawthorne Army Depot.
