About this file
This document is an Aircraft Guidance Sign Schedule and electrical plan sheet for the Portland International Airport North Runway Rehabilitation project in Oregon. The sheet, dated October 2026 and prepared by the airport's design and engineering team, details the specifications and locations for guidance sign installations and modifications along Runway 10L-28R. The project involves the provision, installation, and relocation of various aircraft guidance signs at specified stations and offsets along the runway centerline, with work including the demolition of existing foundations, installation of new precast concrete foundations, removal and replacement of sign message panels, and electrical connections to circuits GS10L and GSA. Key sign installations include multiple 48-inch signs (10L-1 through 10L-10) with white-on-black messaging, 85-inch signs with various color schemes (yellow-on-black, black-on-yellow, and white-on-red), and 127-inch signs. The schedule specifies isolation transformer requirements ranging from 100 to 300 watts and includes provisions for sign removal and storage during paving work with reinstallation upon completion.
The technical specifications require sign faces to be set perpendicular to adjacent taxiway centerlines, with all station and offset measurements based on Runway 10L-28R centerline alignment per referenced detail sheets. Electrical work includes the installation of new isolation transformers, ground rods with enclosures, and conduit connections, with specific attention to reusing existing isolation transformers where applicable and removing disposal of obsolete sign message panels. The document is signed by Jeffery L. Nelson, a registered professional engineer in Oregon (PE #15521), with an expiration date of December 31, 2026, and was digitally signed on October 8, 2026. The sheet references additional detailed work requirements contained in sheets E7.06 through E7.15 and foundation details in sheet E7.01, indicating this is part of a comprehensive set of construction documents for the runway rehabilitation project.
