Question:
Does either SSN765 or SSN762 have any history of issues in passing URO-MRC 025 or URO-MRC 026?
DO NOT WRITE BELOW THIS LINE ---- (SPACE BELOW FOR GOV'T USE ONLY)
Answer:
Looking at the maintenance history for each URO MRC for each hull, there is no history of issues evident in passing UROs. There are a few records of adjustments and re-tests needed, but this has never encumbered passing the URO.

SWLIN No.: 007Y01 Title: Common Work Requirements
Section/Paragraph No.: FB.0020.0200
Question:
AWP for SSN 762 EOH requires replacement of resilient and shock mounts for rotating equipment removed by the shipyard. All others not supporting rotating equipment shall be inspected and replaced if fail inspection criteria. All DIM shall be replaced except for electrical equipment. AWP for SSN 765 IDD requires replacement of all DIM, resilient and shock mounts for equipment removed. It is unclear why requirements are significantly different. The requirement for SSN 762 is much more concise allowing for a more accurate estimate. The requirement for SSN 765 is open ended until interferences for contracted work can be evaluated via ship checks. Can the latest updated SWLIN Line Item identified in SSN 762 be used for SSN 765 availability? If not, does the government have an estimate of how many mounts are replaced during availability the size SSN 765 IDD? In instances where all components supported by mounts are not fully removed, are the mounts required to be replaced, which would potentially require significantly more interference removal?
Past guidance provided by the government indicated only mounts unloaded by more than 50% were required to be replaced. Is this accurate guidance to use?
Yes, the requirements in the SSN762 package are the latest direction on replacing resilient mounts and the same instruction should be used for the SSN765. This acceptance of the change should answer the issues with partial removals or 50% unloaded.

Section/Paragraph No.: 41.0020.9020
Question:
Subject paragraph requires SY to perform heat exchanger and condenser cleanliness inspections IAW 9460-1-b of DDGOS. This section of DDGOS contains a requirement to perform tightness inspection on waterhead main flange bolting. SY assumes that waterhead main flange bolting refers to waterbox bolt studs. SY also assumes that tightness inspection requirement is not invoked by Para. 41.0020.9020 and is therefore not required during this availability. Does government concur?
Tightness inspection of waterhead main flange bolting IAW DDGOS 9460-1-b is not required during the availability.

Question:
Flood Control Hydraulics System
a. SWLIN 552A01 Section 38.0130.U026 states "Accomplish URO MRC 026, Test Flood Control Accumulator Air Flask and Isolation Check Valves" with Assignment SY.
b. Shipyard does not conduct URO MRC 026. Based on scope of work in the AWP, Shipyard will be conducting SUBMEPP TP 552-5503 which "accomplishes the intent of URO MRC 026."
Is it acceptable to use TP No. 552-5503 in lieu of URO-MRC 026 to record flood control hydraulic system test data?
No, it is not acceptable to use SUBMEPP TP 552-5503 "in lieu of" URO MRC 026. TP 552-5503 accomplishes the intent of URO MRC 026, meaning it satisfies the technical requirements. URO MRC 026 MOD 1 is to remain the applicable standard for 38.0130.U026 as it contains the reporting requirements for URO MRC 026.

Question:
SWLIN 515A01 Note 2, states: "Note 2. Tightness of the MBT vent valves shall be verified in conjunction with the main ballast tank tests conducted under SWLIN 176A01." SWLIN 176A01 does not specify or address main ballast tank testing, as indicated in SWLIN 515A01.
1. Is it the intent to specify tightness testing of MBT vent valves in SWLIN 176A01?
2. Is it the intent to specify an MBT full tank completion test, or can an alternate completion test method be substituted?
1) No, testing is specified in the work to test matrix (WTTM).
2) Alternate completion tests may be substituted as allowed by HM&E
