About this file
This is a Scope of Work specification document for Item 9 Toolbox, a component of a state or local vehicle procurement contract. The specification details the construction and installation requirements for a toolbox to be affixed to a truck chassis. The toolbox must be manufactured from 10 gauge mild steel with all-welded construction and measure 18 inches high by 7-3/8 inches wide by 72 inches long (interior dimensions). The unit shall include a hinged door positioned on the driver's side and be installed adjacent to the hydraulic oil tank, extending lengthwise across the truck chassis. A critical requirement is that the toolbox must be removable to accommodate the installation of liquid spray tanks during winter snow and ice removal operations. The design may incorporate a nonskid catwalk top surface but must not impede the front dump body's operational capabilities or front dump angle functionality.
The toolbox must meet specified finishing requirements, including two coats of primer and at least one topcoat of 3.5 Imron High Gloss Plow Yellow paint. The unit shall be securely fastened to either the truck chassis or hydraulic tank frame. No pricing, contract term, bid deadline, or award information is provided in this specification document.
