About this file
This is a specifications document for a toolbox component to be installed on a truck, likely for a municipal public works or transportation department. The project requires the procurement and installation of a single 10-gauge mild steel welded toolbox with interior dimensions of 18 inches high by 7-3/8 inches wide by 72 inches long. The toolbox must feature a hinged door positioned on the driver's side and be designed with a removable construction to accommodate seasonal equipment changes, specifically to allow for the installation of liquid spray tanks during winter snow and ice removal operations. The installation location is adjacent to the hydraulic oil tank, extending lengthwise across the truck chassis. The design may incorporate a catwalk-style top with nonskid surface, provided it does not impede the front dump body's operational angle or functionality.
The toolbox must meet specific finish requirements, including two primer coats followed by at least one topcoat of 3.5 Imron High Gloss Plow Yellow paint. The unit must be securely fastened to either the truck chassis or hydraulic tank frame. The specifications document was prepared by the responsible party with initials "APP/kad" and dated December 14, 2011. No pricing terms, funding sources, or contract award information is detailed in this specifications document.
