UNSPSC 76111800: Transport vehicle cleaning

UNSPSC 76111800 Transport vehicle cleaning, a Class code, encompasses exterior washing, interior detailing, fleet maintenance cleaning, and specialized vehicle decommissioning services that state and local governments procure on an ongoing and as-needed basis. Recent solicitations show issuing bodies across transit authorities, county governments, municipalities, and school districts soliciting both routine vehicle cleaning and specialized services such as bus decommissioning, pressure washing, and pesticide application for transit fleets. The City of Phoenix Public Transit Department's IFB for transit vehicle decommissioning (November 2026 response date) and Chatham County's solicitation for automated carwash services for law enforcement vehicles (November 2026 response date) exemplify the range of work. Issuing bodies include regional transit authorities managing large bus fleets, city and county fleet maintenance departments, school districts operating bus and vehicle fleets, and specialized service providers supporting municipal operations. Work spans routine exterior and interior cleaning, waxing and detailing, pressure washing, decommissioning preparation including repainting and decal removal, pest management, and carpet shampooing for vehicles ranging from standard passenger cars to heavy transit buses and fire apparatus.

Geographic activity concentrates in California (Orange County Transportation Authority, San Mateo County, State of California facilities), Florida (Hillsborough County, Palm Beach County, City of Tampa area, State of Florida), Georgia (Chatham County, Gwinnett County), Texas (Harris County/City of Houston, San Antonio area, Montgomery County), and Arizona (City of Phoenix), with additional recent activity in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Maryland, South Carolina, and Illinois.
