About this opportunity

The School Board of Citrus County, Florida, issued a Request for Quote (RFQ) 2026-10 for comprehensive pressure washing and cleaning services across district-owned facilities. The solicitation seeks a qualified contractor to provide all labor, equipment, materials, chemicals, fuel, transportation, and supervision for cleaning roofs, buildings, walkways, ceilings, rafters, tile/grout, and other surfaces both inside and outside school properties. Respondents must demonstrate a minimum of three years of experience performing pressure washing services for commercial or educational accounts in Florida and provide three references. Qualified vendors must submit firm, fixed unit prices for four cleaning service categories: general roofs, flat surfaces, vertical surfaces up to 15 feet, and vertical surfaces over 15 feet, along with hourly labor rates and a maximum 10% markup for specialized materials. The solicitation was posted on September 18, 2025, with questions due by October 2, 2025, and quotes due on October 16, 2025, at 2:00 PM EST. Evaluation criteria included pricing, qualifications, responsiveness, and the ability to provide emergency services within 24 hours.

There were no specific set-aside designations or restrictions on vendor types for this procurement. The contract will be a one-year agreement from November 9, 2025, through November 8, 2026, with three optional one-year renewal periods. Fifteen quotes were submitted, with Ayopa, Inc. selected as the primary awardee at $5,089.01 and Total Pressure Cleaning Services, Inc. designated as the alternate at $6,241.00. Historical data indicates an average annual expenditure of approximately $7,100 for these services, though the contract carries no guaranteed dollar value. The School Board reserves the right to perform work internally, cancel the solicitation, reject any or all quotes, make multiple awards, or utilize alternative procurement methods. Contractors must provide Safety Data Sheets for all chemicals, supply necessary equipment including lifts, remove wastewater and debris, and arrange site access. The successful vendor must also provide a Certificate of Insurance meeting specified requirements and naming the Citrus County School Board as an additional insured.
