About this opportunity

Palm Beach County is establishing a pre-qualified vendor list for on-site vehicle detailing services under a term contract with a sixty-month duration or until estimated funding is expended, with an RPQ posted July 1, 2026 and new vendor submissions accepted on a rolling basis for addition to the list.

The scope encompasses detailing services for multiple vehicle types—aerials, brush trucks, engines/pumpers, rescue trucks, tenders/tankers, and light vehicles—including bug and tar removal, hand washing, interior and exterior cleaning, waxing or polishing, tire and wheel maintenance, carpet shampooing, upholstery cleaning, and headlight polishing. Vendors must provide at least three relevant references from the past three years and maintain current business tax receipts and applicable licenses. Commercial General Liability Insurance of at least $500,000 per occurrence, Business Auto Liability Insurance of $500,000 combined single limit, and Workers' Compensation Insurance in accordance with Florida Statute Chapter 440 are required. Vendors must also comply with the Palm Beach County Criminal History Records Check Ordinance for access to designated critical facilities.

The estimated contract value over the sixty-month term is $90,000, with individual projects not exceeding $99,999. Pricing must be fixed and firm for ten days from quotation submittal, with payment contingent upon County inspection and acceptance.

A 5% local-vendor preference applies to vendors with permanent places of business in Palm Beach County or the Glades under the County's Local Preference Ordinance. The solicitation is subject to Palm Beach County's Equal Business Opportunity Ordinance regarding Small/Minority/Women-owned Business Enterprise participation on an as-needed, project-by-project basis. Vendors must submit sealed packages signed by authorized representatives to the Palm Beach County Purchasing Department at 50 South Military Trail, Suite 110, West Palm Beach, Florida 33415.
