4-Sep-14 1 Specification section 16520-2.1B, C.D, E, F, G, H& I , call for exterior stand al one photovoltaic flood light system. We assessed the market and didn't find a product that fully complies with requirement, as the solar panel indicated is 10W (peak) while the light output required is 150W incandescent lamp equivalent nearly 1500 lumen, this has a bit inconsistency. However we identified a high quality product imported from Germany by fosera with the properties outlined below. The lamp type and battery technology we found in the market is the latest technology, better efficiency and best luminaire efficiency with a delivery time is one month.

PROPOSED SOLUTION:

To use fosera COMMLIGHT R 800 high efficiency photovoltaic flood light system.

Lamp type: LED (Light emission Diod, better than CFL) Battery Life Po4 6 (Lithium iron phosphate) charge cycle =6times more than lead acid Double the usable capacity, no sulphasion zero maintenance, high fire safety, 5 times longer battery life Light efficiency 130 lumen/watt, Light efficiency of incandescent lamp is usually taken as 10-12 lumen/watt Integrated Module peak power: 10Wp Illuminance: 800lm Standard system warranty: 2 years (Refer attached product data)

Light output of an incandescent lamp varies from 12 - 17 lumens(lm) per watt. Take an average of 14 lm/watt. Hence the 150 watt light output will be 14x150 = 2100 lm.

The submitted RFI states 150 watt incandescent output is 1500 lm(acceptable), a multiple of 10 lm/watt and the illuminance of the PV flood light in the proposed solution is 800 lm, which is 1/2 of the requirement. Proposal not approved. May install two units in place of one to provide required illuminance.

State the LED power consumption and the battery capacity in Ah

Submit a third party certificate to the light fixture, panel module, battery and LED to be installed.
