About this file

This is a Task Assignment Change Order Form issued by the Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP) for a project involving Taylor Engineering, Inc. The document reflects a contract modification dated June 29, 2022, for work at Silver Springs State Park in Florida. The key parties include FDEP (represented by Project Manager Theresa Carron and Contract Manager Ralph Perkins) and Taylor Engineering, Inc. (represented by Terrance Cake, PE).

The change order extends the timeline for Task Assignment TA 8 by one year to complete permitting activities related to the Silver Springs State Park New Swim Area project. The original task end date of June 30, 2022, was extended to June 29, 2023, adding 365 days to the project schedule. The consultant cited the unusual complexity of the project and time-consuming permitting issues with regulatory authorities as justification for the extension. The task amount remains unchanged at $309,669.46 total ($4,595.00 reimbursement and $305,074.46 fixed fee). No additional cost was incurred by this change order, as it consisted solely of a time extension to allow continued permitting work without modifications to the budget.

Hi Teri‐

Due to the unusual nature of this project, working through the permitting issues with the regulatorily authorities is unusually time consuming. Due to these permitting tasks, we request a one‐year extension to this Task Assignment.

Please let me know if you need any additional info.

Terry

Terry, Attached is your current agreement that will expire tomorrow unless we request an extension. Please ask for enough time and please give a justification. You response to this email will be sufficient to get things started on my end.

Thanks!

Thanks, Teri
