Subtask 1A: Survey

Description: The purpose of this survey is to provide topographic information for an existing culvert (approx. 50 ft in length). Survey will include pipe size, material, invert elevations.

Deliverable: Consultant will provide digitally signed and sealed in pdf format as well as AutoCad file in Civil3D format of the topographic survey.

Performance Measure: Deliverables will be reviewed by the Department to confirm they are complete, accurate, and timely. (Please do not alter this language)

Subtask 2: 30% documents - Culvert

Description: Based on the difficulties the Contractor had with the previous culvert slip lining, Hydra is recommending replacing the existing culvert from the invert out up to the landward side of the existing seawall. The proposed culvert will connect to the existing culvert on the landward side of the existing seawall due to the deteriorating condition of the existing seawall.

It appears that the existing culvert is partially collapsed under the road which would make slip lining difficult, if not impossible. A Maintenance of Traffic plan would be prepared to ensure access around the interior loop road is maintained during construction.

30% Plans consisting of a cover sheet, general notes, existing conditions and grading plan sheets of the culvert crossing on Hugh Taylor Birch interior loop road. It also includes providing an Opinion of Probable Construction Cost.

Deliverable: Consultant will provide 24”x36” sheet size drawings transmitted electronically in PDF format to the project manager.

(FELSI) will conduct a site visit of the project area and will perform a wetland delineation based upon State and Federal guidelines. The wetland line will be flagged using numbered flagging tape marked with Wetland Delineation.

Wetland points or locations will be collected concurrent with the fieldwork using GPS. A general and protected species survey will also be conducted in conjunction with the fieldwork and GPS used to locate any observed environmental features. If endangered and/or protected species are found on site, additional fieldwork or mapping of those species may be required. This information will be used in completion of the Environmental Resource Permit application and to formulate a species protection plan for any protected species protection or mitigation plan if needed.
