Re: Interpretive Center Edward Ball Wakulla Springs State Park 550 Wakulla Park Dr.

Wakulla Springs, FL 32372 Wakulla County

Mr. Straight, We are pleased to have the opportunity to provide services related to the preparation for the pre-design and schematic design phases related to the new Interpretive Center at Edward Ball Wakulla Springs State Park. This approach will enable us to identify any environmental, historic, or archeological impacts that may influence the direction of the project or impose additional permitting or protective measures that will be required.

Our approach to the project would be as follows:

Subtask 1a – Programming Description: Dodstone will develop a spreadsheet comparing the programmatic elements shown in the Lover’s Key plan with the proposed programmatic elements proposed to be included in the New Interactive Center. The intent will be to confirm that the key elements as discussed in the scoping meeting held on August 2, 2022 are understood and agreed upon by all relevant parties.

Deliverables: A spreadsheet in pdf format.

Fees:

Performance Measures: Deliverables will be reviewed by the Department to confirm they are complete, accurate, and timely.

Plans and exterior elevations will be included. It is anticipated that the design vocabulary will be Spanish/Mediterranean in keeping with the architecture already on the property. Construction is assumed to be wood frame with pre-engineered wood trusses and a slab-on-grade foundation. General exterior finishes will be identified, although actual product selections will not occur until the Design Development Phase.
