I Series Drawings Several of the remote I/O distributor cabinets indicate new cables (in bold) but the corresponding connector schedule shows them existing (not in bold). Example: Drawing I-505 oneline indicates cable designation 35423W13 is new. Drawing I-506 connector schedule shows this cable as existing. This is located on numerous cables throughout the I series drawings. Please confirm which drawing prevails.
List of consistancy corrections: Drawings I-519 thru I-524 RIO 35426 - cables for J54 and j61 are new…Drawings I-531 thru I- 536 RIO 35761 - cables for J36 through 43 are existing to remain, Drawings I-537 thru I-538 RIO 37568 -cables for J28, j61, j63, and 64 are existing to remain….Drawings I-539 thru I- 544 RIO 37462 - cables for J29 through J42, J47, through J60 are existing to remain.
Page 403 Section 2.4.20 Please clarify what Jacket is used for duct insulation, rigid and flexible. Per spec section 23 07 00, 2.4.2.1, and details on drawings M- 610 and M-615, duct insulation jacket is to be white PVC. This spec section indicates the PVC jacket is to be 0.24 inches thick, which is incorrect. The PVC jacket thickness requirement will be revised to indicate "the pipe and fitting covers shall be white PVC, 1 or 2 piece, high impact strength, ultraviolet resistant rating, with minimum thickness of 0.030 inches".
Drawing M-615 Can you clarify the specs on Pyrogel as mentioned on "Typical double wall duct flange insulation detail" specificaly the jacketing thickness.
The Pyrogel insulation is specified in detail MBY on sheet M-
615. The jacketing is to be white PVC per spec section 23 07 00,
1-613 I-613 shows a breaker added for each new connector on Enclosure 37568.
Note A indicates this is not to be connected to a power source. The reference drawing on I-703 does not show where the additional 22 breakers are to be installed. Please clarify the construction of this rail as to if it is to be a single rail configured for 1 source, or split for the 2 existing incoming sources as well as the impact to the testing requirements if the work indicated in note A is not completed prior to the start of this contract and the devices powered from these breakers are not functional.
The contractor to provide and install all circuit breakers, devices, and associated mounted hardware and cables. Cables configurations shall be per each cable identification labels. The breakers to be installed in side 37568. All end devices to be connected by dedicated cables shown on drawings. RIO 37568 is existing (two sources) . The power is existing and available, it should not be an issue for conducting the functional test.
Modification of the existing Source of power upstream is not part of this contract.
40 95 00 section 3.4 Per 40 95 00 Section 3.4 This contract requests a step by step procedure for system start-up as one of the required items. NASA is responsible for the programming, sequence of operations, and operation of the PLC and SCADA. Please clarify the contractor's responsibility under this Section.
System start up only as required for prefunctional testing. 0006
33 Reference M-203, Zone A/4 & S-301
Zone A/4 shows a arrow stating 6” raised concrete pad. Is a new pad to be poured over the existing and or is the existing to be repaired only per details SAC, SAD & SAE on S-301? If a new pad is required, will it be poured on top of the existing pad up to existing cold water lines, drain and existing electrical panels?
6" raised concrete pad is the existing pad to be repaired per details on S-301.

38 Reference M-313 & M-
M-313 zone HG/5 shows the demo of existing valve A199216 EX-MOV- 019 ¾”? M-322 zone AB/6 shows the relocation of the existing valve A199216, ¾” . It appears the size of ¾” is in error. What is the actual size of the existing valve A199216?
3/4" is the intended size of the valve. It is used for GN2 bleed for safety in compliance with DE-512
39 Reference M-322
M-322 zone AB/6 shows a new valve A601103, MOV-024, ¾” . It appears the size of ¾” is in error. What is the actual size of the existing valve A601103? Also, The new valve A601103, MOV-024 is not shown on any new valve schedules. Please provide valve information for pricing purposes?
3/4" is the intended size of the valve. It is used for GN2 bleed for safety in compliance with DE-512. The schedule for MOV-024 is in the GN2 component schedule on sheet M-508.
Reference Specification Section 22 15 13.16 40, GN2 PIPING, PIPING
COMPONENTS, AND
VALVES, STAINLESS,
3.1.2.1 Joints ensure that field weld-joints conform to the requirements of the AWS WHB-2.9 and ASME B31.3. ASME B31.3 requires a service call out in the specification and or on the drawings. No service call outs have been identified. Is the contractor to assume normal fluid service for the GN2 piping?
Normal fluid service is acceptable. 0006
Reference Specification Section 22 15 13.16 40, GN2 PIPING, PIPING
COMPONENTS, AND
VALVES, STAINLESS,
3.1.2.1 Joints second paragraph states “Piping systems rated at 350 psi and lower require butt weld joints made with backing rings”. If the welding is to be per ASME B31.3 normal fluid service or better then 5% x-ray at a minimum will be required. Weld joints with backing rings will not satisfactorily pass x-ray. Please advise
Radiographic testing per ASME BPV Code, Section 5, Article 2 does not require removal of backing. However, if radiographic testing is not feasible due to equipment limitations, ASME B31.3 allows the use of UT or in-process examination in accordance with paragraph 344.6 or 344.7, respectively.
42 Reference AA-102 AA-102 shows chilled water system in a dashed configuration. AA-101 Test results schedules do not reflect chilled water system for abatement. Is any work associated with the dashed lines?
On drawing AA-102, All chilled water piping was recently replaced and does not contain ACM, and is therefore not in the abatement scope of work.
No
