NASA/KSC SOLICITATION 80KSC020R0024
SECTION L – INSTRUCTIONS, CONDITIONS, AND NOTICE TO OFFERORS OR RESPONDENTS
(End of Provision)
L.9 FAR 52.236-27 SITE VISIT (CONSTRUCTION) (FEB 1995) – ALTERNATE I (FEB 1995)
(a) The clauses at 52.236-2, Differing Site Conditions, and 52.236-3, Site Investigations and Conditions Affecting the Work, will be included in any contract awarded as a result of this solicitation. Accordingly, offerors or quoters are urged and expected to inspect the site where the work will be performed.
(b) An organized site visit has been scheduled for June 16, 2020. The prime offeror (contractor) shall submit a list of personnel attending the site visit, to include prime contractor attendees and subcontractor attendees. Attendees with NASA/KSC badges must also be included on the list and identified as having a valid NASA/KSC badge. Individuals not included on the list may not be allowed to participate in the site visit. The list shall be provided to the Contracting Officer at Christopher.m.williams@nasa.gov prior to 2:00pm on June 12, 2020.
(c) Participants will meet at:
Launch Complex 39B (From the KSC Badging Office, head East on the NASA Parkway into Kennedy Space Center past the first guardhouse. Stay in the furthest right lane. Take first exit off of NASA Parkway onto Kennedy Parkway (SR3) heading North (left turn from exit). Follow Kennedy Parkway North to Saturn Causeway. Head East (right hand turn) on Saturn Causeway to Pad B drive. Follow Pad B drive out to pad B. Parking lot is located to the right of Pad B drive before entering pad B.)
To get to the KSC Badging Office: Take S.R. 405 east from U.S. Highway 1. Go past the KSC Visitor Complex. Badging Office is located on the right side of the road before KSC Gate 3.
(d) In an effort to maintain groups of less than 10 people, site visit attendance is limited to two representatives from each prospective prime offeror and two per subcontractor. To attend the site visit, each attendee must fill out and submit (in advance of the site visit) the following badge request forms:
KSC Form 28-889 NS, KSC Visitor Badge Request (See Section L Appendix 1) Badging Request Form (Includes TAA) (See Section L Appendix 6)
(e) Submit the badge request forms, via encrypted e-mail, to: KSC-NE-Badging@mail.nasa.gov (be sure to encrypt the e-mail). For those who do not have encryption software, please fax your badge request to 321.861.3673
(f) Badge Request Form Due Date: June 9, 2020.
(g) Badge requests received after the due date will not be considered (Be advised that badge requests may be rejected for failure to fill in all the required information: names, titles, SSNs, citizenship, etc). BADGES WILL BE PROVIDED TO U.S. CITIZENS ONLY. RESIDENT ALIENS
AND FOREIGN NATIONALS WILL NOT BE BADGED FOR ACCESS TO KSC.
