About this file
This file is a data sheet appendix documenting air leakage rate testing results conducted using ASTM E 779-10 blower door pressure testing methodology for a building envelope at an unspecified facility. The testing was performed for an Army building using trailer-mounted fan equipment, with testing data collected across 10 pressure measurement points during both positive and negative pressure tests, supplemented by 12 pre-test and 12 post-test bias pressure data points. Test conditions included indoor and outdoor temperatures of 75.2°F and 62.6°F respectively, with an average wind speed of 5.0 mph from the west, and an envelope surface area of 80,000 square feet at an elevation of 760 feet above sea level.
The test results demonstrate compliance with specified acceptance criteria. The combined positive and negative pressure test yielded an envelope leakage rate of 0.208 cfm/ft² at 75 Pa with an upper 95% confidence limit of 0.223 cfm/ft², both satisfactory results below the 0.25 cfm/ft² maximum allowable leakage rate threshold. The pressure exponent (n) of 0.714 fell within the acceptable range of 0.45 to 0.8, and the data correlation coefficient squared of 0.9980 exceeded the required 0.98 minimum. All data quality checks passed, including the required number of pre-test bias, test, and post-test bias pressure data points. The effective leakage area calculated at 75 Pa was 12.6 square feet with an absolute leakage volume of 16,634 cfm at that pressure differential.
