Subject: FDEP Agreement #CN225 – Task Assignment #45 – Change Order #1 Gilchrist Blue Springs State Park Development Phase II Proposal for Professional Services

Dear Mr. Keen:

The following proposal is for additional services involving a Phase II cultural resources investigation of Site 8GI21 in support of the proposed Phase I and Phase II Park Development projects at Gilchrist Blue Springs State Park. Our understanding of the project is that during a 2021 Phase I survey of the park (Survey No. 27882), archaeological site 8GI21 was documented and the Florida Division of Historical Resources (DHR) noted that there was insufficient information to determine the sites eligibility for listing in the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP). Based on the review of the plans for the two proposed phases of park development, the DHR recommended that if the site could not be avoided by planned developments, then archaeological Phase II testing of Site 8GI21 would be required to determine NRHP eligibility (DHR No. 2022-7981-A and 2022-7981-B). For your review, DRMP, Inc., has provided a proposal summary and man-hour documentation.

Please review the attached Proposal Summary and Deliverables.

Sincerely, _____________________________ 2/26/2023 Benjamin Lennon, P.E. Date Project Manager
