FDEP Agreement #CN225 – Task Assignment #24 Proposal for Professional Services
Background and Purpose The purpose of this project is to provide professional engineering services needed to design the replacement of an existing gravity sanitary sewer line. DRMP understanding of the project includes:
• The existing sanitary sewer will be removed or abandoned, depending on the alignment of the new sewer.
• The new sewer will connect to the existing sewer on the south side of the park road (as indicated on Figure 1).
• Division of Historical Resources approval will be done by FDEP.
• No endangered or protected species are anticipated to be in the project area. No wildlife survey is part of this proposal or permitting is part of this proposal.
• The materials to be removed or demolished (concrete manholes, terra cotta pipe) have a very low to zero risk of containing hazardous materials, and therefore no hazardous material survey is needed.
• The design will accommodate the two (2) “modern” cabins for future connection if grades allow.
• The receiving septic system is permitted for only what comes to it now, there is no reserve capacity. No septic upgrades are included in this project. The existing septic permit can be modified to add the two modern cabins. See subtask 5.
The scope of the work will follow the 2017 Florida Building Code, FDEP BDC Standards and Local/State review procedures.
Subtask 1: Topographic Survey
Description: The Consultant shall provide a topographic survey through their subconsultant JBrown Professional Group in order to facilitate engineering the project site:
I. Property: A portion of Gold Head Branch State Park, Clay County, FL (as depicted in figure 1)
II. Services Provided: A Topographic Survey of the above described property, as depicted in Figure 1 (attached). The Topographic Survey provided will be prepared in accordance with the standards of practice set forth by Florida Administrative Code Section 5J-17.050, Section 472.027 of Florida Statutes (includes all above ground improvements exterior of any buildings but will include building foundation). This survey information will be tied to the NAD83 horizontal datum and NAVD88 Vertical Datum Using GPS techniques.
Spot elevations will be on a 25’ grid. Contours will be drawn to 1’ intervals. Trees larger than 6” DBH will also be located. Sanitary Structures clearly visible at the time of the survey will also be located and measured. No other underground utilities will be located.
Deliverable: The Consultant shall provide one (1) Topographic Survey (.pdf and dwg format) to the Department Project Manager.
Performance Measures: Deliverables shall be reviewed by the Department to confirm they are complete, accurate, and timely.

• Cover Sheet
• Existing Conditions Sheet
• Demolition Plan
• Sanitary Sewer Plan
Deliverable: The Consultant shall deliver 30% design plans and opinion of probable construction costs in .pdf format to the Department Project Manager.
