About this file
This is a Register of Wage Determinations under the Service Contract Act issued by the U.S. Department of Labor's Employment Standards Administration Wage and Hour Division. The document establishes prevailing wage rates for service contract employees in Kansas counties including Butler, Harvey, Sedgwick, and Sumner, effective as of December 3, 2025 (Wage Determination No. 2015-5341, Revision 31).
The wage determination lists over 300 occupational classifications across multiple categories including administrative support, automotive service, food preparation, furniture maintenance, general services, health occupations, information technology, instructional positions, laundry and pressing, machine tool operations, materials handling, mechanics and maintenance, personal needs, plant operations, protective services, recreation, stevedoring, technical occupations, and transportation. Hourly wage rates range from $10.67 (Carnival Worker) to $46.95 (Registered Nurse IV), with most positions falling between $15 and $40 per hour. All listed occupations receive fringe benefits of $5.55 per hour (up to 40 hours weekly, $222 weekly or $962 monthly), plus two weeks of paid vacation after one year, three weeks after ten years, and four weeks after twenty years of service. Employees receive a minimum of twelve paid holidays annually. Footnoted occupations have special provisions: Computer Systems Analysts and Programmers are exempt from wage determination if paid at least $27.63 per hour; Air Traffic Controllers and Weather Observers receive night and Sunday pay differentials; and certain positions qualify for hazardous duty pay differentials of 4-8 percent. The document includes uniform allowance provisions, requiring employers to furnish uniforms or reimburse maintenance costs at $3.35 weekly where applicable, and establishes procedures for requesting authorization of additional occupational classifications through Standard Form 1444.
