About this file

This document is a Department of Defense Clothing and Textiles raw material specification for a plain weave nylon fabric (Fabric# AR-MTP-24-161) for the Army in 2024. The fabric is a 70D nylon woven material in an Army Operational Camouflage Pattern (OCP) print, with a fabric weight of 4.2 oz/yd2 and 100% nylon composition. Key technical specifications include minimum break strength of 175 lbs in both warp and fill directions, minimum tear strength of 8.0 lbs, water repellency ratings, and dimensional stability requirements.

The specification includes detailed testing requirements across multiple characteristics, including colorfastness, toxicity, and spectral reflectance to meet military standards. Packaging requirements specify continuous lengths of at least 50 yards per roll, with each roll to be labeled for fiber content and face side identification. The material is intended for government procurement, with testing to ensure uniform quality and compliance with precise military textile standards. The document carries a Distribution Statement A, indicating approved public release with unlimited distribution.
