About this file

This document is a Department of Defense Clothing and Textiles specification for an All-Range Tactical Clothing (ARTC) Mesh Undershirt, Style# AR-ETP-24-107. The undershirt is designed for cold weather combat environments, intended as a base layer for the United States Marine Corps clothing layering system. It features a unisex design available in alpha sizes XXS-4XL, constructed with an open net-like mesh knit material, jersey knit shoulder panels, underarm gussets, and rib knit collar and sleeve cuffs.

Key technical specifications include a coyote brown color, a warp knit construction, and no melt/no drip material properties. The undershirt must meet specific dimensional stability requirements after 50 and 100 wash cycles, with maximum shrinkage percentages defined. Toxicity testing is required to ensure skin compatibility, and the garment must pass visual shade matching standards. The specification includes detailed requirements for construction, stitching, seam types, bartacks, and acceptable defect levels, with the preparing activity being the Navy Marine Corps (Navy - MC) and multiple military branches involved in review and custodianship.
