About this file
This is a Department of Defense (DoD) product specification document for the All-Range Tactical Clothing (ARTC) Softshell Jacket, Style# AR-ETP-25-094. The jacket is designed for combat utility in cold weather environments, with a unisex fit ranging from XXS to 4XL sizes. The softshell jacket is constructed using multiple materials including Nylon/Spandex 91/9 woven stretch fabric in Army OCP (Operational Camouflage Pattern) print, with additional materials like nylon plain weave and mesh for specific components.
Key technical specifications include a wind-resistant design with features such as an adjustable hood, multiple pockets (including shoulder and chest pockets), zipper guards, elastic cuffs, and reinforced elbow areas. The jacket incorporates tactical elements like IFF (Identification Friend or Foe) glint tape, various zipper configurations, and hook and loop fastener attachments. Manufacturing requirements emphasize precise construction techniques, with specific guidelines for cutting, stitching, and assembling components, and rigorous quality control standards including dimensional stability testing and toxicity assessments. The specification document provides comprehensive details on materials, construction methods, size grading, defect tolerances, and testing protocols to ensure consistent production quality.
