1.QUALIF ICATIONS

Founded in 2002, Advanced Structural Technologies, Inc. (AST) initially served the commercial construction industry by providing structural engineering services. In 2015, AST created a

Power Services Division to provide engineering for power related projects. Since then, AST has added numerous team members and resources to now expand our representation to the

Southeastern (Florida) and Northwestern regions of the United States.

AST has completed 90 commercial projects to date in Florida, along with countless cambium pole projects for Duke Energy within the last 5 years. We are actively working to grow our presence and engagement with utilities in Florida. We have key staff living there and others planning relocation later this summer. Our team is experienced with almost every type of power project ranging from traditional designs to renewable interconnections, technical engineering design consulting, construction support, electrical / civil / structural studies, proposal creation and evaluation, scope development, project/program management, budget estimation, bid development, and Owner's Engineering.

AST is pleased to present its Engineering Statement of Qualification package for approval with the UCNSB to provide engineering design and consulting services for substation (physical /

P&C), transmission, and distribution lines.

TECHNICAL EXPERTISE

AST has the certified education, professional & “on the job / hands-on” training, and proven experience in the design of substation protection and control (P&C), electrical physical, civil, structural, transmission, and distribution lines nationwide including Southeast utilities and clients. We are well known for providing a dedicated, attentive, detailed, focused and responsive exclusive service to our select clients. In addition, our recent addition is 3D design capabilities to our Power Services offerings. Another special service provided has been emergency engineering services for restoration support. Below is a summary of our staff qualifications to demonstrate our competency to execute items discussed in this RSQ:
