Re: Proposal for FDEP Bureau of Waste Cleanup Equipment Storage Facility Management State Road 33 Lakeland, Polk County, Florida Contract No. HW686
Dear Mr. Grubbs:
Professional Service Industries, Inc. (PSI), an Intertek company, is pleased to provide the proposal contained herein to provide for management of the Florida Department of Environmental Protection’s Bureau of Waste Cleanup (FDEP BWC) Equipment Storage Facility in Lakeland, Florida. Included with this proposal is a discussion of the proposed scope of work, cost estimate and a proposed schedule for completion.
PROJECT BACKGROUND
PSI understands that the FDEP BWC routinely houses remediation equipment for use under the Drycleaning Solvent Cleanup Program and other state funded programs. Various remediation equipment is stored at an existing facility located off State Road 33, in Lakeland, which is maintained and housed on behalf of the FDEP. The property is owned by the Fountain RV Park, which is located adjacent to the FDEP BWC Lakeland Equipment Storage Facility. The property is enclosed with a padlocked fence and currently has no utilities connected to the property (i.e., no power or water is available on-site). The FDEP requests that the facility be manned approximately five days per quarter to allow other contractors under the Waste Cleanup Program to test the remediation equipment and to access, collect and transport that equipment to various cleanup sites.
PSI proposes to provide yard/equipment management services to the FDEP and assumes the following:
mailto:Benjamin.Grubbs@FloridaDEP.gov
FDEP – Equipment Storage Facility
1. The FDEP Equipment Storage Facility property is approximately 1 – 2-acre property and is owned by the Fountain RV Park. The property is surrounded by a 6-foot chain link fence and locked padlock.
2. No power, water, or office trailer is available on-site.
3. Mowing or keeping vegetation down is the responsibility of others.
4. PSI will be available with an approximate one-week notification to receive incoming equipment and allow contractors to return FDEP-owned equipment as directed by the BWC.
