1. 7-15-22 7-15-22 Is this project tax-exempt? If yes, please issue the Tax Exemption number for bidding purposes. If not, what is the percentage of tax?

No, this is not exempt of sales tax. Contractors are required to pay sales and excise tax. Offerors shall include all applicable taxes in accordance with FAR by Reference Clause 52.229-3 “Federal, State and Local Taxes.” Percentage of tax information is the responsibility of the offeror.

2. 7-15-22 7-27-22 Is a geotechnical report available for this project? A complete geotechnical report will not be provided. See S101, general notes to ascertain site conditions.

3. 7-15-22 7-27-22 The front view of the racks all say “channel rack typical” are these to be 4 post white in color?

Yes.

4. 7-15-22 7-27-22 Are the wall cabinets white in color? Yes.

5. 7-15-22 7-27-22 How is all of the fiber being terminated? LC splice cassettes on both ends? No MPO/MPT?

The spice cassettes are only a 12 fiber and most of the fiber is 24 strands so we would need to split up the fiber into 2 separate splice cassettes The specs say fiber will be terminated at both ends with LC type female connectors which would not describe an MPO system

LC adapter on patch cable side of fiber enclosure, MPO connector on backbone side of fiber enclosure. See spec 27 15 13.13

6. 7-15-22 7-27-22 Are there new racks going in building 4 rooms 052 and 053?

Yes.

7. 7-15-22 7-27-22 What is the purpose of the New Fiber Transition Cabinets as shown on sheet TN403 in the redundant

DMARC?

A side fiber distribution. See sheet T801.

8. 7-15-22 7-27-22 Where is the new B side copper backbone cabling terminating in the DMARC? Should this land on lightning protection first? If so where is that located?

There is only a single line of copper, ie no redundant copper backbone. The copper backhaul does not require lightning protection.

82. 7-15-22 7-27-22 CRAC Units: Spec section 238123.2.1.Q reads - DDC or BAS Interface: Provide connection to the DDC or BAS system. Can you confirm what type of connection is desired for this and specify under the this section?

Typically the connection will be BACnet MS/TP or IP.

NOTE: An alternate option to unit integration could be a connection to an alarm contact (if available on the CRAC unit) as well as separate zone temperature, humidity, condensate high level alarm, etc. connected to the BAS (see question 5 below). Please advise.

The split system AC units have internal factory installed controls. Contractor to wire to a wall mounted thermostat. Thermostat to be monitored and adjustable through the BAS. For bidding purposes connection type to be BACnet MS/TP.
