About this file
This document contains a justification and approval for other than full and open competition and a pre-solicitation notice for an upcoming invitation for bids. The justification specifies a sole source procurement of approximately 600 square feet of Vitality Hues Style Number 4376V homogeneous sheet flooring from Shaw Contract for $10,000. This flooring is required for the floor of a new Radiation Safety Storage Room at the Lieutenant Colonel Charles S. Kettles Veterans Affairs Medical Center due to its special characteristics for regulatory approval and patient safety. The pre-solicitation notice indicates the Department of Veterans Affairs plans to issue an invitation for bids on or around March 20, 2023 for interior renovations costing between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000 at the same medical center. The renovations will upgrade approximately 14,000 square feet of existing basement and office spaces and related mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems. The procurement is set aside as a total small business opportunity for service-disabled veteran-owned small businesses. The award is planned within 120 days of bid opening.
